  • Melanocytes are cells that produce a pigment called melanin. They are found in many parts of the body where there is pigment, particularly skin, hair and eyes.

  • Milbemycin is used for control of internal parasites. Your veterinarian has prescribed this medication for the prevention of heartworm infection.

  • Mitotane is used for treating Cushing's syndrome. Mitotane reduces the amount of cortisone like hormones produced by the adrenal cortex.

  • Mitratapide is used to help reduce weight in dogs. Your veterinarian may prescribe mitratapide if your pet is obese or overweight.
