  • Methoprene is classified as an insect growth regulator. It does not kill adult fleas. Your veterinarian has prescribed this medication for the control of the fleas.

  • Methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory and allergic conditions. There may be other conditions for which your veterinarian may prescribe this medication.

  • Metoclopramide may be used to relieve the symptoms of vomiting and gastro-oesophageal reflux. This medication may be used for other conditions as determined by your veterinarian.

  • Metronidazole is a synthetic antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent. It is used to treat infections such as gingivitis, wound infections, and giardiasis.

  • Milbemycin is used for control of internal parasites. Your veterinarian has prescribed this medication for the prevention of heartworm infection.

  • Mitotane is used for treating Cushing's syndrome. Mitotane reduces the amount of cortisone like hormones produced by the adrenal cortex.

  • Mitratapide is used to help reduce weight in dogs. Your veterinarian may prescribe mitratapide if your pet is obese or overweight.

  • Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid. Anabolic steroids are synthetic forms of the male hormone testosterone.

  • Nicergoline increases the blood flow to the brain. It is used in older dogs to improve age-related disorders such as dullness and lethargy.

  • Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used to relieve pain and inflammation. Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe nimesulide to reduce pain in arthritis.
