I have been a practicing veterinarian for over 20 years now. Although having been practically exposed to virtually all areas of veterinary clinical practice during my early career, my interests rapidly became narrowed. I have a passion for surgical diseases and treatment and throughout my career have amassed specific skills in more advanced surgical treatments and diagnostics associated with surgical diseases. I have always held a specific interest in equine medicine and surgery of sport and pleasure horses and would like to re-enact this interest in the near future. My particular species of interest are cats, dogs and horses. I hold administrative and clinical roles with Equestrian Sport New Zealand with a portfolio in the Endurance discipline. I love my job and am extremely passionate about it. There is nothing else that I would rather be doing with my life other than being a clinical veterinarian. This job challenges me and provokes me into self-improvement every day of my working life. I enjoy getting off the beaten track into the Third World and attempt to do this annually, usually involving wildlife within these adventures. I enjoy tramping and outdoors and wilderness within New Zealand, although more recently this has meant day trips! I still harbour fictitious dreams of re-invoking the adventure ski demon I was in my youth! I enjoy classical and jazz music, art and theatre also.
Sarah – Practice Manager
I grew up in Nelson & Marlborough regions, via three years in Melbourne, shifting to Christchurch in March of this year. My move brought me to Rolleston and Rolleston Veterinary Services as their Practice Manager. My love of the outdoors, means I regularly hike, jog, bike and gym, while seeing what this region has to offer. Animals of all kinds I love, I am the owner of two gorgeous adopted dogs, who love the water and hiking, the interaction and the cuddles from the animals in the vets fill my cup with happiness. It is a wonderful place to work with amazing, caring staff.
Tash – Nurse
Hi! I’m Natasha, I’m a 26 year old animal lover with two adorable dogs, Opie and Remi and a sweet cat named Shadow. I have just started working as a vet nurse here at Rolleston Vets and I’m excited to begin studying in the field next year! I look forward to meeting you all and caring for your pets.
Danielle – Nurse
Hi I’m Danielle, I started at RVS as a student nurse nearly 3 years ago and been working here ever since. I absolutely love my job working along side animals, with a supportive team every step of the way. Outside work you’ll find me out on adventures with my partner and our dog Koda.
Bre – Nurse
Hi, I’m Bre. I joined Rolleston Veterinary Services two years ago as a student and been part of the team ever since. I became a fully qualified Diploma Vet Nurse recently and am passionate about providing the best care for every pet that comes through the doors. While I don’t have any fur babies of my own just yet, I feel lucky to love and care for every animal as if they were my own!
Georgie – Nurse
Hi, I’m Georgie! Originally from the UK, I’ve been in New Zealand for 2 years and part of the RVS team since February 2024. I adore my job, I love the team and working with animals. There’s never a day where I don’t learn something new. Outside of work you’ll find me hiking or sat with a good book and a cup of tea!
Abbey – Nurse
Hi, I’m Abbey. I have been working at RVS for nearly 3 years now. I started as a student and gained my Diploma in Veterinary Nursing last year. I love my job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Through the highs and lows the team here make it such a fun place to work. I have two black cats, Wally and Summer and in my spare time my husband and I are watching our two boys play sport!
Abbie – Receptionist
Hi, I’m Abbie! You’ll often find me at reception, where I’m always happy to help. Originally from the rural Yorkshire coast in northern England, I’ve been calling New Zealand home for the past year or so. With my love for the countryside and animals, it’s no surprise that my heart is happiest when I’m surrounded by nature. I’ve been part of the RVS team since April and I can honestly say I absolutely love my role!
